Chief Pulse Comment by Jonathan J Rubinstein
That's part of
Palm's whole, fresh mentality.
"I think it's important to have control over the entire user experience and really deliver great consumer products," says Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein. "If you really want to deliver a great experience, in this case, the HP experience, you want your own OS.". He adds, "and yes, there will be flash.".

Chief Pulse Comment by Jonathan J Rubinstein
In an interview with Fortune, HP's Jon Rubinstein, former CEO of Palm , stated that webOS 2.0 is slated to be released "later this year." That's a good indication that we can look expect a few different devices coming from the
Palm and HP camp since they are working on developing new hardware "aggressively." I personally would love a
Palmpad , or even a revamped Pre 2. We'll see what ends up happening, but that time frame sure sounds better than our previous 2011 estimate.

Verizon, on the other hand, pays far less than $300 for Android, BlackBerry and Palm phones, said Shaw Wu, an analyst at Kaufman Brothers.
